This stunning antique edition of No Cross No Crown A Tale of the Scottish Reformation was published by Thomas Nelson and Sons in 1905. So the book is from the mid Edwardian era.
The book is bound in red cloth with beautiful decoration in white and gilt to the front board and spine. It was part of the Red Rose Library Collection. It's in very good condition with only minor marking to the cloth and faint sunning to the spine. There is also age toning to the text block edges.
Inside, the pages show significant tanning throughout, with occasional minor marking. There are no inscriptions.
The book features a handful of colour illustration plates.
Dimensions approximately 19.5cm x 14cm x 3.7cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
