This beautiful vintage edition of Barbara in Brittany by E A Gillie was published by Collins Clear Type Press. The book itself is undated but there is a written inscription dated 1922.
The book is bound in red cloth with beautiful pictorial decoration and gilt to the front board and spine. It's a striking binding and in very good condition - there is light wear and bumping to the board edges, and light rubbing to the corners. There is crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the half title page and the pages show minor age toning. There are occasional cracks to the gutters but the pages remain tightly bound.
The book features a handful of black and white plates.
The book will be posted hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
