This beautiful vintage edition of Tales of Make Believe was published by J M Dent and Sons in 1960. The book is bound in decorative cloth and still has it's original dust jacket.
The book is in very good condition for it's age but there is some wear and tear to the edges and corners of the DJ. The spin is lightly sunned and there are marks to the back cover. Underneath the DJ, the book features cloth decorated with pirate ships and pirate flags (skull and crossbones). There is light wear and crushing to the corners and spine ends. The board edges are rubbed.
Inside, the DJ has been clipped and there is a neatly written name on the half title page. The pages have some minor marks and wear but otherwise the pages are clean and bright.
The book features a handful of illustrations by Harry Toothill which make it an extra special read. Dimensions approximately 22cm x 14.5cm x 2.5cm.
All books purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
