This beautiful vintage edition of Tom Jones by Henry Fielding was published by Oxford University Press in association with The Franklin Library in 1984.
The book is bound in a quarter leather, with boards beautifully decorated in gold gilt. The spine features three raised bands and the edge of the pages are 22 karat gold. The book also features a satin ribbon page marker.
The book is in good condition for it's age, but there are some light paint marks to the front board and there is a small bump to the bottom of the spine. There are some small marks and scuffs to the text block edges and the satin ribbon page marker is stained and discoloured.
Inside, there are marbled endpapers and full page, black and white illustrations. The pages show light age toning but are in very good condition otherwise.
Dimensions approximately 24cm x 16cm x 5cm.
All books purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I'm gradually switching over to eco-friendly packaging, including 100% recyclable jiffy bags :)
