This collection of two matching books includes two novels by the great Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. Each book is uniformly bound in half Morocco leather with five raised bands to the spines and marbled paper boards. The text block edges have very vibrant marbling which are really stunning on display! Quite psychedelic.
The books are showing general wear and there is dulling to the top edge of the text blocks. There is loss to the surface of the leather and paper in places and wear to the board edges and corners. One spine is a bit more sunned, whilst the other shows minor loss to the leather at the spine ends.
One book shows past water damage, more obvious inside than out.
Each volume measures approximately 22cm x 14.5cm x 3.8cm.
The books will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
