This stunning little antique book Thoughts for Today was published by Lane Publications. The book is undated but I would estimate it to have been published in the early 1900's.
The book is bound in hammered burgundy leather with gold gilt to the front board. It features a wonderful collection of quotes from famous figures including philosophers, Shakespeare, and Prime Ministers.
It's in good condition for it's age but there are noticeable signs of wear. The corners are rubbed and the spine has significant wear to the leather. There is a small one inch split to the external hinge. The leather has some minor marks and discolouration.
Inside, there is some marking to the pages but the text remains clean and bright.
Book dimensions are approximately 16cm x 12.5cm x 1cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
