This beautiful antique edition of The Book of Common Prayer was published in 1854 and features original Morocco binding. What's particularly unusual about this edition is that not only does it have gauffered text block edges, but there is text imprinted into the text block edge - something I've not seen before. Around the edges, it reads "God is Love, Search the Scriptures, Grow in Grace".
The book is in remarkably good condition for it's age with the main condition point of note being that there's a clasp missing. The other clasp is in good working order. The leather shows some rubbing and wear, with minor loss to the surface of the leather. The brass clasps show some tarnishing and the top edge of the text block is a little dulled.
Inside, the endpapers are beautifully marbled and there are gilt inner dentelles. There is a name and date written on one of the preliminary pages. The pages show light age toning and occasional foxing, but are in clean condition. There is a crack to the gutter at the Contents Page, but the pages remain tightly bound.

I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
