This beautiful vintage edition of the The Poetical Works of Alfred Lord Tennyson was published by Henry Frowde in 1904. So the book is Edwardian. It's bound in quarter vellum with pretty floral detail and a leather title label to the spine. Top edge gilt.
It's in good condition but there is soiling and darkening to the spine. The corners have worn through to the board beneath and there is foxing to the text block edges. There are some faint marks and scuffs to the boards.
Inside, there is a written inscription to the front free endpaper. The pages are clean and bright with occasional foxing. A few of the page edges have slightly jagged edges.
Dimensions approximately 19.3cm x 13.5cm x 3.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
