This lovely antique edition of Cherry and Violet A Tale of the Great Plague was published by John C Nimmo in 1897. It's bound in original green cloth with gilt decoration to the front and gilt lettering to the spine. Top edge gilt.
It's in near fine condition, with very light bumping to the bottom corners and a slight forward lean to the book. There is minor marking to the spine and bumping to the spine ends.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and very occasional foxing. There are lovely black and white plates throughout the book. Dimensions approximately 20cm x 14cm x 3.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
