This vintage edition of Legends and Stories of Italy for Children was written by Amy Steedman and features illustrations by Katharine Cameron. It was published by T C and E C Jack. The book itself is undated but there is a presentation plate dated 1921. So the book is early 20th Century.
The book is bound in blue grey cloth with a pasted on illustration to the front board. It's in good condition but there is light wear and crushing to the corners. There is foxing to the text block edges and some minor loss to the surface of the front illustration. The spine is faintly sunned, with crushing to the spine ends and rubbing to the spine edges.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front free endpaper. The pages show scattered foxing and age toning throughout. The colour plates are absolutely stunning.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
