This beautiful vintage edition of The Browning Boys by Pansy was published by The Sunday School Union. The book itself is undated but there is a written inscription dated 1907. So the book is likely to be Edwardian. It's bound in original red pictorial cloth, with stunning detail of lilies to the front and spine.
It's in good condition but there is fading and rubbing to the spine, causing some loss to the lily decoration. The front is still very bright. There is minor marking to the boards and crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, the free endpapers are tanned and there is a written inscription on the FFEP. The pages show heavy tanning throughout with sporadic foxing. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound. Dimensions approximately 18.7cm x 12.5cm x 2.2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
