This lovely miniature book of The Language and Sentiment of Flowers was published by Frederick Warne and Co. The book itself is undated but I'd estimate it to be late Victorian (circa 1890).
The book is bound in pale brown/grey cloth with stunning blind stamped decoration to the front board and spine. It's a very striking little book, and in remarkably good condition for it's age. There is some light soiling and marking to the cloth, and the corners show some wear. The book has a very slight forward lean and the spine ends are crushed.
Inside, there are some marks to the front endpapers and the pages show light foxing and age toning throughout. There are also some marks and light creasing in places. There is superficial cracking to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound.
There are stunning colour plates and the book features a section on Classical Floral Legends.
Dimensions approximately 12.5cm x 9cm x 1.5cm.
