This stunning antique edition of The Silver Lattice A Book of English Verses for Boys and Girls was published by Thomas Nelson in 1909. It's bound in dark blue cloth over bevelled boards with pictorial and silver gilt decoration to the front and spine.
It's in very good condition with slight splitting to the cloth at the bottom edges of the boards near the corners. There is light wear and bumping to the board edges and light wear to the corners. There is minor marking to the boards and crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front pastedown. The endpapers feature stunning art nouveau decoration. The pages are clean and bright with occasional marking. There is slight cracking to the gutter between the FFEP and the frontispiece and toning to the preliminary and end pages.
Dimensions approximately 24.2cm x 17.7cm x 3.7cm. The book features striking colour plates.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
