This stunning antique edition of The Glorious Song of Old was published by Thomas Nelson. The book isn't dated but there is an inscription inside dated 1885. So the book is from the Victorian era. 

The book is bound in blue grey cloth with pretty floral decoration and gold gilt to the front board and spine. It's in remarkably good condition considering it's approximately 140 years old. There is light wear to the corners and rubbing to the board edges. The boards are soiled and marked, with some light scuffing to the cloth. The spine ends are crushed.  

Inside, there is a written inscription on one of the preliminary blank pages. The pages show light toning and minor marking but are clear and bright. The book includes 15 striking illustrations, the lyrics to the song, and the musical score accompaniment. 

Dimensions approximately 18cm x 13.3cm x 1cm. 

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.

I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
