This beautiful edition of The Basket of Flowers by Christoph von Schmid was published by Blackie and Sons. The book itself isn't dated but there is a written inscription dated 1909. So the book is likely Edwardian.
The book features blue cloth boards with Talwin Morris design decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with just a slight forward lean and light wear to the corners. There is minor foxing to the text block edges and light rubbing to the spine. The spine ends are crushed.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and the pages show light age toning throughout with sporadic foxing. There is one black and white frontispiece
Dimensions approximately 18.7cm x 13.1cm x 2.7cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
