This stunning antique edition of Tales and Stories by Maria Edgeworth features Lame Jervas, The Will and Rosanna, edited and revised by L Valentine. It was published by Frederick Warne and Co. The book itself is undated but I'd estimate it to be circa 1900.
The book is bound in blue cloth with pretty pictorial decoration to the front and spine. It's in very good condition but there is crushing/bumping to the bottom corners and minor marking to the boards. The book has a slight forward lean and the spine is faintly sunned with bumping to the spine ends. There is light foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright with very occasional foxing. There are no inscriptions or writings of any kind.
Dimensions approximately 18.5cm x 13cm x 1.8cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
