This stunning edition of Frank Hardinge by Gordon Stables was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1904. So the book is Edwardian. It's bound in original blue cloth with stunning floral decoration in an art nouveau style to the front and board. All edges gilt and gilt details to the spine.
It's in very good condition with some minor marking to the boards. There is fading to the spine and around the edges of the boards. Crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and the pages are clean and bright with scattered foxing. There is a slight crack to the gutter just before the frontispiece.
Dimensions approximately 20.8cm x 14.6cm x 4.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
