This beautiful edition of Sinbad the Sailor and Other Stories from the Arabian Nights was published by Hodder and Stoughton. It's undated but was published circa 1914. The front and spine are lettered and decorated in gilt and there is blue floral detail to the cloth.
It's a very striking edition and in very good condition. There is light wear to the corners and the boards are slightly bowed. There is minor marking to the boards and duling/sunning to the spine.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and sporadic foxing, with occasional handling marks. The beautiful tipped in colour plates by Edmund Dulac bring this work to life. The book has been collated and the pages and illustrations are complete. Every tipped in plate has a captioned tissue guard.
Dimensions approximately 28.5cm x 23cm x 4cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
