This collection of three Robert Louis Stevenson books were published by Cassell and Company in 1919, 1921 and 1922. The titles include Kidnapped, Master of Ballantrae and Catriona. They are uniformly bound in full leather with top edge gilt. The spines feature pretty gilt decoration with a floral design and there is blind stamped floral decoration to the front covers.
They're in very good condition but there is light wear and crushing to the corners and scuffing to the leather. There is minor rubbing to the spines and light foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and occasional foxing. One volume has a name and date written on the FFEP. Each volume measures approximately 16cm x 10.3cm x 1.7cm.
The books will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
