This stunning antique edition of The Peasant and The Prince by Harriet Martineau was published by George Routledge and Sons in 1885. So the book is Victorian. It features a stunning cloth binding, decorated in green and gilt. It's in near fine condition, with just light bumping to the bottom corners. The spine is lightly sunned, whilst crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, there is toning and foxing to the free endpapers and a penned name and date to the FFEP. The pages are clean and bright with sporadic foxing.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
