This stunning Folio Society edition of The Expression of The Emotions in Man and Animals by Charles Darwin was published by The Folio Society in 2008. It features beautiful pictorial cloth to the front board and spine with gold gilt detail. Sadly it no longer has it's slipcase.
This book is in very good condition for its age with minimal signs of wear. The tint to the top edge of the text block has leaked slightly onto the plain text block edges.
Inside there are no inscriptions or dedications, and the pages are clean and bright with minimal wear. There is a stamped name to the top corner of the front free endpaper.
The book is filled with both colour plates and black and white images.
Dimensions approximately 25.5cm x 18cm x 4.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
