This stunning vintage edition of An Adventurous Schoolgirl by Dorothea Moore was published by Cassell and Company. The book itself is undated but there is a presentation plate dated 1922-23.
This lovely vintage book is bound in beige cloth with a pasted on illustration to the front and floral decoration to the spine. It's in good condition but the book shows a forward lean and crushing to the corners. The boards are marked and soiled, with slight bowing to the front board. There is crushing to the spine ends and foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front free endpaper and the front hinge is a bit stiff where someone has glued the hinge. There is loss to the bottom corner of Page 4 and the pages show scattered foxing and handling marks. There are some superficial cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound.
Dimensions approximately 19.7cm x 13.8cm x 4.7cm.
All books purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and ribbon.
