This beautiful edition of Columbus and his Times was published by the Religious Tract Society. Sadly the book is not dated but there is a written name inside dated 1906.
The book is bound in blue grey cloth with stunning pictorial decoration to the front board and spine. It's in good condition but the book does show a slight forward lean and there is light wear and bumping to the corners. The boards are marked (there are black spots to the cloth), with light rubbing to the decoration. There is a very small hole in the cloth to the bottom edge of the back board and the spine is lightly sunned.
Inside, there is a written name and date on the front pastedown. The pages are clean and bright with light age toning and sporadic foxing. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound.
Dimensions approximately 17.3cm x 12cm x 1.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
