This stunning edition of Mansfield Park by Jane Austen was published by Walter Scott Publishing Co. The book is undated but I would estimate it have been published circa 1890 or 1900. The book has been professionally rebound in half leather with four raised bands and gilt to the spine. The boards feature marbled paper. It looks to have been a recent rebinding as there is minimal wear. The edges of the text block is gilt.
There is very light wear to the corners and some minor marks to the leather. There are some scuffs to the edges of the text block.
Inside, the pages have light foxing and marking but are in good, antique condition. The text is clear and bright. There is one black and white frontispiece.
Dimensions approximately 19cm x 13.5cm x 4cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
