This vintage edition of London Stories by John O'London was published by T C and E C Jack. The book itself is undated but there is a written inscription dated 1913. So the book is early 20th Century.
The book is bound in red cloth with pictorial decoration and gilt lettering to the front and spine. It's in very good condition with minor wear to the corners and foxing to the text block edges. The red cloth shows light marking and the spine ends are crushed.
Inside, there is an ownership stamp to the front free endpaper and a written inscription in pen just underneath. The pages show light age toning throughout with occasional foxing. There is a small chip to the bottom edge of the fold out illustration.
The book is filled with black and white illustrations. Dimensions approximately 24.7cm x 18.2cm x 6.1cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
