This little treasure of a book features a collection of sketches in pencil. A childish hand has written that she thinks it's the work of Aunt Carr. There is no indication of date inside but from the binding, I'd estimate it to be late 19th Century.
Outwardly, the book is quite plain - and there is significant wear to the corners and extremities of the book. There is loss to the spine ends and surface loss to the leather and paper in places.
Inside, the book features pencil sketches - mostly of rural cottages and scenes. As mentioned above, a childish hand has written "I think this is Aunt Carr's work" on the front pastedown.
Dimensions approximately 13.4cm x 18.7cm x 1.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
