This beautiful antique edition of Muriel or Ways and Means by M Vandegrift was published by Gall and Inglis. The book itself is undated but there is a presentation plate dated 1897 ( so the book is from the late Victorian era ).
This stunning floral binding is in near fine condition, with just light crushing to the spine ends. All edges gilt. There is minor marking to the gilt text block edges and rubbing to the corners.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front pastedown. The pages show light age toning, with occasional handling marks and foxing. The binding is pulling slightly at the Contents Page. Dimensions approximately 19.8cm x 14.8cm x 3.7cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
