This beautiful antique edition of Invention and Discovery was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1896.
The book is bound in blue cloth with stunning pictorial decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition considering it's almost 130 years old. The corners are worn and lightly crushed, and there is light rubbing and bumping to the board edges. The back board has some faint marks and scratches and the spine ends are crushed.
Inside, there is a written inscription on the front free endpaper and a nickname written on the front pastedown. The pages show age toning and sporadic marking and foxing.
Book dimensions approximately 19cm x 13cm x 3.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
