This charming edition of Poems by Matthew Arnold is bound in paper vellum and was designed by Talwin Morris. It was published by Blackie and Son as part of the Red Letter Poets series. The art nouveau design by Talwin Morris to the front, spine and endpapers is particularly striking.
It's in very good condition but there is heavy soiling and marking to the cream binding. The spine is dulled.
Inside, the pages show age toning throughout with occasional minor marking. There are occasional pencilled lines in the margins, highlighting particular poems.
Dimensions approximately 16.2cm x 10.8cm x 2cm.
The book will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
