This beautiful antique pocket book of Humorous Poems of the Century was published by Walter Scott Publishing. The book is undated but there is an inscription dated 1911. I suspect the book is a little bit earlier than this, however, circa 1900.
The book is bound in blue cloth with gold gilt decoration and blind stamped detail to the front board and spine. It's in good condition for it's age but there is rubbing to the corners, and light soiling and marking to the boards. The spine is sunned and darkened, with dulling to the gold gilt. The spine ends are crushed and there is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, the is a neatly written inscription on the front free endpaper and the pages show noticeable age toning. There is sporadic foxing and marking in places.
Book dimensions approximately 14.2cm x 11cm x 2cm.

I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
