This stunning edition of The Town's Verdict by Ethel Heddle was published by Blackie and Son in 1905. So the book is from the Edwardian era.
The book is bound in dark green cloth with pretty pictorial decoration to the front board and spine. It's an attractive binding and in very good condition. There is light wear to the corners and fraying to the cloth. The boards show minor marking and there is rubbing to the spine ends. The spine shows faint sunning and there is crushing to the spine ends.
Inside, there is a presentation plate glued to the front free endpaper and the pages show significant foxing throughout. There are occasional cracks to the gutter but the pages remain tightly bound.

I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
