This absolutely stunning book has been finely rebound in full Morocco with gilt tooling and five raised bands to the spine, with leather title labels. To the front and back there is a striking coat of arms in gilt; all edges gilt. I love it when a book has so much sentimental value to someone that they get a custom binding for it. This edition of Henry VIII by Jasper Ridley is also signed by the author. It was published by Guild Publishing in 1985.
It's in near fine condition, with just a slight forward lean to the book and a scuff mark to the gilt text block edges.
Inside, there are gilt inner dentelles and the author has written an inscription with his signature on the title page. The pages are in very good condition, with just some rippling to the frontispiece.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
