This beautiful edition of Half Hours In Woods and Wilds Adventures of Sport and Travel was published by William Ibister Limited. The book is undated but these editions usually date from the Edwardian era (1900-1910). It is a school prize binding, full tree calf leather with a school insignia blind stamped in gilt to the front. The spine features five raised bands and gilt tooling; the text block edges are marbled.
It's in very good condition, with some scuffing to the leather boards and light wear to the edges and corners. The spine is a bit sunned, with minor chipping and loss to the surface of the leather at the spine ends and edges. There is a very slight crack starting to the bottom of the back hinge.
Inside, the endpapers are marbled and there are no inscriptions or writings of any kind. The pages show scattered foxing throughout and a small bump to the bottom corner of the text block has caused the paper to fold in on itself and cause creasing.
The book features beautiful black and white illustrations throughout which make it an extra special read.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
