This pretty edition of Don Quixote for Boys by M Jones is based on the Classic tale of adventure and friendship by Cervantes. It has been abridged and written for younger boys and was published by George Routledge and Sons. The book itself isn't dated but I'd estimate it to be late Victorian (circa 1900).
The book is bound in brown cloth with beautiful pictorial decoration to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition for it's age, with the most noticeable flaw being two small holes to the spine. The spine ends are crushed and there is light marking to the boards. The corners show some minor wear and there is foxing to the text block edges.
Inside, there is age toning and foxing to the pages throughout but there are no written inscriptions.
Dimensions approximately 19cm x 13cm x 2.5cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
