This stunning little edition of The New Testament was published William Collins and Sons circa 1866.
It features a Morocoo leather spine with five raised bands and gilt decorations. The text block edges are gilt and gauffered which is a lovely feature in old books. The mauchline ware boards feature a tartan pattern and the clan's name has the name M Dun stamped in gilt to the top of the front board. (Name indicates the Tartan Clan Name used on cover).
It's in very good condition for it's age but there are some scuffs and bumps to the boards. The spine ends have some wear and minor loss to the surface of the leather. The text block edges are dulled so the Gauffered detail is not quite as bright as it might once have been.
Inside, the pages show age toning and occasional minor marking but are in very good condition for their age.
Dimensions approximately 10.5cm x 7.5cm x 2cm.
Every book purchased will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I try to use eco friendly packaging wherever possible. This includes 100% recycled jiffy bags, biodegradable bubble wrap, and paper offcuts from the newspaper industry.
