This stunning little collection of four books includes a collection of different poetry and lyric books. Each one features a yapp binding suede with gilt lettering to the spine.

Limp leather bindings originated from the medieval era but they became popular again in the late Victorian period. The leather extends over the edge of the book block in what's known as a yapp binding. This makes it very easy for the leather to become damaged and torn around the edges.
The books are in good condition but do show some general wear and tear to the edges of the bindings. There are some marks and scuffs to the leather/suede and the spines show some wear. As mentioned above, the leather leaves residue on surfaces and fingers as it deteriorates.
Inside, the pages show general age toning and occasional foxing/marking. There are some cracks to the gutter in places but the pages are all bound.
Dimensions of each volume approximately 9cm x 6.3cm x 1cm.
The books will be hand wrapped in brown paper and string.
