This beautiful antique edition of Larry Gilbert was published by Gall and Inglis. The book itself is undated but after some research, I’ve managed to date it to circa 1891.
The book is bound in brown cloth with stunning pictorial decoration and gilt to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition with light wear to the corners and minor fixing to the text block edges. The boards show some minor marks and rubbing; the spine ends are crushed.
Inside, a tear to the top corner of the front free endpaper has been mended with glue. The pages show sporadic foxing and handling marks. Dimensions approximately 18.5cm x 12.7cm x 2.4cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
