This lovely edition of Notes on a Small Island by Bill Bryson was published by The Folio Society in 2009. It still has it's original slipcase.
Bill Bryson is an American author who spent some time travelling round Britain whilst young and on a tight budget. His observations on Britain and the British people make for a very fun and enjoyable read.
This book is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. The slipcase shows more signs of use, with some light marks, scuffs and scratches to the card.
Inside there are no inscriptions or dedications, and the pages are clean and bright. Sadly two pages are crumpled with crease damage (see photo)
Dimensions (including slipcase) approximately 25cm x 17cm x 3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
