This beautiful edition of A Little Bundle of Mischief by Grace Carlton was published by S W Partridge and Co. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be from circa 1900.
The book is bound in red cloth with stunning pictorial decoration and gilt detail to the front board and spine. It's in very good condition, with only some slight water staining to the bottom corner of the front board. There is rubbing to the board edges and minor marking to the boards; the boards are very slightly bowed. The spine ends are crushed.
Inside, the front free endpaper has been removed so the book opens onto the half title page. The pages show significant tanning throughout and very occasional foxing. There are black and white illustration plates. Dimensions approximately 19cm x 13.5cm x 4.3cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
