This beautiful edition of Deb Clavel by Mary E Palgrave was published by the Religious Tract Society. The book itself is undated but I'd estimate it to be from the early 20th century. It is bound in blue cloth, with beautiful pictorial decoration to the front board and spine.
It's in good condition but there are some small holes in the cloth in the bottom left corner of the front board. There is a split to the bottom of the back joint and a small hole in the cloth of the front joint. The corners are worn with some minor fraying. There is light sunning to the spine and further small holes in the cloth; crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting in the cloth.
Inside, there is the remnant of a plate to the front pastedown and the endpapers are tanned. The rest of the pages show lighter age toning with occasional foxing and marking. Some of the top corners are creased where a previous reader has dog eared them. There are also some sporadic cracks to the gutter in places but the pages remain tightly bound.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
