This beautiful 1947 edition of Hints on Etiquette and the Usages of Society with a glance at Bad Habits was originally written in 1834 but this more modern edition was based on the third edition (published in 1836). It was published by Turnstile Press and still has it's original dust jacket which is protected by clear plastic.
The book is in excellent condition with only light wear to the board edges and corners. Inside, the DJ is unclipped and there are no inscriptions. The pages show age toning throughout. The delightful colour illustrations by Brian Robb really add to the charm of this mid 20th century book. It features topics such as marriage, dinners, smoking, snuff, dress and many more. It packs in a lot for such a small book.
Book Size: 14.4cm x 10cm x 1cm (Approx.)
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string. The bubble wrap I use is 100% biodegradable and the jiffy bags are recyclable.
Where possible, I use 100% recyclable paper tape, but sometimes I have to use clear plastic tape for extra strength.
