This beautiful decorative edition of One Basket by Edna Ferber was published by The Franklin Library in 1982. The book features a sumptuous full leather binding with ornate gilt decoration to the boards and spine. The spine also features four raised bands and the text block edges are all gilt. There is a satin ribbon page marker. It was a limited edition exclusively for subscribers and part of the Collected Stories of the World's Greatest Writer.
The book is in near fine condition with only minor marks to the leather.
Inside, the pages are in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. There are some striking illustrations inside by Herbert Tauss and the endpapers are moiré (watered) silk.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
