I love finding books like these - the book itself wouldn't have had any monetary value as it was printed by The Reprint Society. But a past owner obviously loved this book and had it rebound in a fine half leather binding over marbled paper, with five raised bands and gilt tooling to the spine. The edges have been tinted a psychedelic yellow.
It's in very good condition but there is light sunning to the spine, and minor chipping to the surface of the leather. The boards show minor marking and there are some faint scratches to the front board. There is also light wear to the corners.
Inside, there is an ex libris plate glued to the verso of the FFEP. The pages are clean and bright, but there is some creasing to a few of the pages.
Dimensions approximately 21.7cm x 14.4cm x 3.4cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
