This beautiful vintage edition of The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte was published by Oxford University Press in 1959. The book is in very good condition and still has it's original dust jacket. What's particularly lovely is that there is a stamp inside saying that the book was bought at the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth, and there are two admittance tickets tucked inside too. Priced at just 10p each! Having visited Haworth earlier this year, I can say that the price is no longer 10p per ticket!
There is a small area of loss to the surface of the back cover of the DJ where a sticker has been removed, and the DJ shows some light wear to the edges. The spine is sunned and there is some minor marking and foxing to the DJ. Underneath the DJ, the book is bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spine.
Inside, the DJ has been clipped and there is a stamp to the bottom corner of the FFEP saying that the book was bought from the Museum Bookshop in Haworth. The pages show very light age toning but are otherwise clear and bright.
Dimensions approximately 15.5cm x 10cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
