This sweet little vintage edition of The Book of Garden Flowers by G.A.R. Phillips with was published by Frederick Warne and Co Ltd in 1956. It still has it's original dust jacket and the book is bound in a lovely pink cloth.
The book is in very good condition with only light crushing to the spine ends and wear to the board edges. The DJ shows more wear and tear, particularly to the edges, corners and spine. There is loss to the surface of the paper and creasing.
Inside, there is some light age toning to the pages but no inscriptions or dedications. There are beautiful coloured illustration plates throughout. The DJ is clipped.
Dimensions approximately 16cm x 12.5cm x 2.8cm.
The book will be hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
