This wonderful limited edition is numbered 545 of 1000. It was published in 1946 and was issued as a limited run on specialised paper, presented in loose folded leaves within a folded cover and housed in a protective slipcase. It features coloured engravings.
La Fleur Des Poesies Francaises du XVI Siecle (loosely translated as The Flower of 19th-Century French Poetry) focuses on themes of women and love. It's in near fine condition with minor marking to the slipcase and foxing to the loose cover and text block edges of the volume. There is a small area of surface loss to the bottom corner of the front cover.
Inside, the pages show occasional foxing as well as offsetting from the colour engravings. Dimensions (including slipcase) 26cm x 17.9cm x 3.7cm
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
