This lovely First edition of Ameliaranne Bridesmaid by Ethelberta Morris was published by George Harrap and Co Ltd in 1946. Pictorial paper-covered boards. Light blue cloth spine.
It's in good condition with slight bowing to the boards and wear to the corners and board edges - there is chipping to the surface of the paper around the board edges. The back boards is marked and the spine shows heavy discolouration and sunning.
Inside, the pages show light age toning and occasional foxing.
The book is filled with colour illustrations by Susan B Pearse. Dimensions approximately 22cm x 15.7cm x 0.6cm.
The book will be hand wrapped in patterned paper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
