This beautiful vintage edition of Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard by Eleanor Farjeon was published by W Collins and Sons in 1929. It is the ninth impression of the first edition.
The book is bound in pale brown cloth with pretty decoration to the front board. It's in good condition for it's age but there is light wear to the corners and minor marks to the boards. There is some rubbing to the decoration and lettering on the front board, but more significant wear to the lettering on the spine. The spine is sunned and slightly darkened; crushing to the spine ends has caused minor splitting to the cloth at the head of the spine.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright but do show age toning and foxing. There is superficial cracking to the gutter in places but the pages remain tightly bound. The colour plates by C E Brock are absolutely stunning.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubbled wrap is biodegradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
