This stunning edition of The Crown of Wild Olive by John Ruskin was published by G Harrap and Co. The book is undated but I'd estimate it to be early 20th Century (circa 1910's). The book is bound in full calf leather with blind stamped lettering and floral decoration in an art nouveau style to the front. Top edge gilt.
It's in near fine condition, with slight crushing to the corners and minor marking to the leather. There is a small chip and bump to the back board and faint scuffing to the leather.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright with occasional foxing. Dimensions approximately 14.3cm x 10.3cm x 2cm.
The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
I use a range of eco friendly, 100% recyclable jiffy bags and boxes, and whenever possible I use brown paper tape. The green bubble wrap is oxo-degradable and the clear bubble wrap is 100% recyclable. I also reuse boxes when I feel it's appropriate (if the boxes are sturdy enough).
