This stunning edition of The Farther Adventures of Robinson Crusoe written By Himself was published by Constable and Company in 1925. It is a limited edition facsimile of the Second edition and it's really lovely to see what would have been the original title page and text. It was one of 775 copies that were published in 1925.
The book is bound in faded red cloth with gold gilt decoration to the spine. It's in good condition considering it's almost 100 years old. There is some wear and crushing to the corners, and the boards show some light marking and fading. The spine is also faded,
Inside there are no inscriptions or dedications, and the pages are clean and bright with only minor toning to the paper. There is minor cracking to the gutter at the title page, and the tissue guard for the frontispiece is tanned and creased. Some of the pages are uncut, which means the book hasn’t been read cover to cover in the whole 100 years of its life!
The pages are rough cut which is a lovely feature in old books and there are a handful of black and white illustration plates throughout the book.

The book will arrive hand wrapped in patterned wallpaper and string.
